These are about a 90 minute drive from Eagle Lake RV Park. They're old volcano tubes with a section about 1/3 of a mile long that can be walked through. Be sure to bring a flashlight or phone with light, though, once you round the corner by the entrance, it is pitch black inside.
This easy out and back trail is suitable for all ages. It takes a bit over 90 minutes to complete and has nice scenery to enjoy at the south end of the lake. The well-maintained path is excellent for biking or trail running, and dogs are welcome.

Eagle Lake Art Center
Eagle Lake Art center at the north end of the lake has classes throughout the summer, usually in the afternoons. You can learn to paint, draw with stencils, make driftwood mobiles, and many other artistic endeavors. Click on the picture to be directed to their website for class schedules and more information.
Eagle Lake Community Church is a fellowship of believers who worship together on Sunday mornings and live the Christian faith in the everyday life as a witness to the community. Guests are welcome. Call or stop by for Sunday service times.

129-foot Burney Falls, which is not the highest or largest waterfall in the state is possibly the most beautiful. Additional water comes from springs on the side, joining to create a mist-filled basin. Check trail conditions before you leave as the park's about an 1 hour 45 minute drive.
This 18-hole course just south of Susanville is only 45 minutes away. It features 6,518 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.0 and it has a slope rating of 113 and was designed by Dave Tanner.
